Virginia Ruth Caughell Foerman, 93, beloved mother and grandmother, went to meet her Lord on Thursday, Sept. 13,2018.
Virginia was born on Tuesday, Nov. 25,1924, to James Logan Caughell and Mabel Marie Garrison Caughell in Carroll County, the first of three children, with siblings Mary Eleanor and James Robert.
She wed Boyce Ragene Foerman in Logansport on April 8,1945, and to this union was born three children: Gary Joseph, Celia Joyce, and Marsha Ann.
The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1957, and Virginia attended Arizona State University where she earned her Masters Degree in education. She taught at Starlight Park Elementary School in the Cartwright School District for 28 years and retired in 1990.
Virginia was a devoted servant of Jesus Christ and an active member of the Paradise Valley Christian Church, Phoenix, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert in 2006, and her husband, Boyce in 2008. She is survived by sister, Mary Eleanor Caughell of Indianapolis; son, Gary (Chris) Foerman of Royal Center; daughters Celia Foerman of Phoenix, Arizona; and Marsha Foerman of Chandler, Arizona; two grandchildren, Rebekah and David Foerman; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at the Seceder Cemetery in rural Carroll County.
