Veneda L. Hoesel Davis 92 of Winamac died Tuesday. She was born on November 21, 1926 in Winamac. In 1945, Veneda graduated from Star City High School. She worked many years for the US Department of Agriculture (ASCS) in Winamac and retired from the US Post Office in Star City. Veneda was a member of Star City United Methodist Church and Red Hat Society. Veneda enjoyed cooking & traveling and was an animal lover. She was a sweet and kind lady who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Survived by a sister-in-law, Estelle Galbreath as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Marion Lewis and Bertha Veneda Hummel Galbreath; her first husband, George Hoesel; her second husband, Thomas W. Davis; and her brother, Herbert E. Galbreath. Services 11 AM EDT Monday at Frain Mortuary. Burial at Winamac Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM EDT Sunday at the funeral home and two hours prior to services Monday. Contributions to Star City United Methodist Church or Pulaski Animal Center. Arrangements by Frain Mortuary 305 E. Main St Winamac, IN 46996.
