Lucille Bowman, 90, of Rockfield passed away on Sept. 5, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi.
She was born to the late David J. and Clara (Gower) Mayes on July 10, 1928 in Newport, Arkansas.
She married Herbert L. Bowman on March 21, 1961 at the Young America Baptist parsonage. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2016.
Mrs. Bowman retired from Delco Electronics where she had been a coil winder.
She was a member of the Rockfield Presbyterian Church.
Lucille enjoyed reading and was well known as a fantastic cook. And she was an avid Michigan State basketball fan.
She is survived by her son, Roy L. Bowman, Rockfield.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, D.J. Mayes.
Visitation will be from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. Pastor Grace Hammer officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockfield Cemetery, Rockfield.
