Sharon D. Roach Obituary

Sharon D. Roach, 74, of Kokomo, passed away on Dec. 5, 2024, at Bloom of Kokomo.

She was born on May 29, 1950, in Peru, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas and Lorine (Helton) Hightower. On Feb. 14, 1986, she married Harvey D. Roach, and he survives.

Sharon graduated from Haworth High school and Indiana Wesleyan University. She was the director of Cass County Housing Authority. Sharon worked at Area 5 Senior Citizen Center in Logansport and Cass County Housing Authority.

She was an empathetic advocate for those less fortunate or in troubled times. She had a passion for children and loved people. Sharon liked antiquing, art, collecting, but especially loved cars, music and books. She was an avid reader and could challenge anyone with trivia. Sharon was a highly intelligent and compassionate person with a great sense of humor. She always loved new adventures, animals and nature. She became a professional clown known as "Violet." Sharon loved making people smile.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Janae (Moose) Doss, Sherrie (David) Galloway and John Edwards; sister, Lucy Long; granddaughter, Taylor Edwards; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Tobias.

She was preceded in death by her parent; and brothers, Lonnie and Billy Hightower.
