Scott Allen Mooney Obituary

Scott Allen Mooney, 29, Kokomo, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born Dec. 12, 1989, in Kokomo, the son of Troy and Tammy (Hinze) Mooney.

Scott worked for Chrysler Corp. as a Transmission Case Inspector, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He loved his family and his daughter, Aubrey. Scott was known for his big heart and always having a smile on his face. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scott is survived by his parents, Troy and Tammy Mooney; daughter, Aubrey Mooney; girlfriend, Mandy Pitner; grandmothers, Merle Hinze and Carol Mooney; aunts and uncles, Jim and Deb Hinze, Dave Hinze and Trent Mooney; along with several great-aunts and uncles and many cousins.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Don Hinze and Ed Mooney.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at First Church of the Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Stan Zurcher officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
