Robert "Bob" Edwards, 72, of Kewanna, formerly of Logansport and Delphi, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at his residence.

Born Nov. 23, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Cletus and Le Etta (Fricke) Edwards. He attended Delphi High School and obtained his GED in 1965.

Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the VFW and the American Legion in Rochester. Bob enjoyed singing karaoke, golfing, fishing and playing pool in his younger years. Bob worked in retail grocery for more than 40 years. He retired as the manager of the Meat Department at Coral Supermarket in Logansport after 15 years.

Survivors include his children: Dawn Renee (Brad) Black of Frankfort, Michael Shane (Heather) Hofmann of Frankfort and Melissa Lynn (David) Perigo of Richland, Michigan. He is survived by 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four stepchildren and numerous step-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his beloved dog, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Clark Edwards, who passed away on Jan. 24, 2001 and one stepdaughter.

Services will be at 4 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2019 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Crematory, Kewanna Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Graveside services with military rites will be performed at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
