Brookston, IN - Ralph E. Levy, 84, of Brookston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus in West Lafayette.

He was born on Nov. 23, 1940, in Indianapolis, to the late Earl and Dorothy (Wallman) Levy. He spent most of his childhood in Logansport, and graduated from Logansport High School. In December 1995, he earned an Associate of Science degree from Purdue University. His life was marked by a deep dedication to family, service and community.

Ralph served his country in the United States Navy, receiving an honorable discharge in 1965. He continued his commitment to service as a longtime member of the Brookston American Legion Post 251.

In 1966, Ralph married the love of his life, Sue Ann Case. He was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father of four and grandfather to eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

He enjoyed a long career with GTE (General Telephone & Electronics) as an office supervisor, and later found fulfillment working as a contractor for the Purdue ITT Department. Ralph also dedicated many years to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as both a scout leader and Camp Director at Camp Buffalo.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Ann, and their children: Cheryl (Ron) Whiteman of Lafayette, Dottie (Larry) Jacobson of Lafayette, Kristin (Mike) Krause of Erie, Colorado, and John Levy of West Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.

A visitation and funeral service were held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston. Interment with military honors was held in Brookston Cemetery.
