Patrick Joseph Gaskill, Jr., 39, Brook, died Sunday, May 13, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born in Kokomo on Dec. 20, 1978, the son of Patrick Joseph and Jane Ann (Bowen) Gaskill Sr.

Patrick was a graduate of Ivy Tech, where he received various certificates in maintenance. He was employed at Stark Truss doing facilities maintenance.

Patrick enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, making peanut butter fudge and building stereos. Among his many talents were his custom tattoos and drawings, tinkering with cars, welding and metal fabricating.

Patrick loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He had a knack for making each of them feel special. He also loved his dog/daughter, Stella.

Patrick is survived by his father and stepmother, Patrick and Debra Gaskill, Kokomo; mother and stepfather, Jane and Terry Bapp, Denver; sisters, April (David) Doty, Rensselaer, Angela (James Smith) Gaskill, Brook; brother, Terry (Ashley) Bapp, Logansport; aunts and uncles, Ronnie (Linda) Bowen, Peru, Peggy Bender, Goshen, Rick (Helen) Bowen, Kokomo, Marty (Carol) Gaskill, Wawpecong, Dan Gaskill, South Dakota, John (Patsy) Gaskill, Oxford, Mary (George) Synder, Frankfort, Chris (Linda) Gaskill, Leeton, Missouri, Tim (Lori) Gaskill, Kokomo, Gerard Gaskill, Kokomo; and nieces and nephews, Scott Searcy, Alex Perez, Monica Nance, Haylie Nance, Jazmine Gaskill, Kira Bapp, Shaylin Smith, Savanna Smith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Elaine Gaskill, Vernon Bowen, Norma and Charlie Jarvis; stepsister, Lori Smith; niece, Abrahna Perez; and uncle, Mark Bowen.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
