Walton - Nancy Lee Price, 77, of Walton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, with her family by her side.

She was born June 15, 1947, in Monroe, Michigan, to Edward and Laura (Gardner) Finley. She married the love of her life, Paul Price, Nov. 11, 1967, and he survives.

Nancy was loved by so many in the Walton community. She was the town babysitter, taking care of over 300 children in the Walton area over many years. She loved cooking for her family and friends, and was affectionally know to some as Nanny Noodle. She loved baking cookies for the Lewis Cass Track Team. Nancy and Paul were the proud sponsors of the Lewis Cass Track banquet every year. The track team would sometimes make their way to Nancy and Paul's during a practice run just to visit for a minute or have a cookie or two. Nancy and Paul were a fixture for many sporting events for the Lewis Cass sports teams for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul, and children, Kendra (Dale) Sleppy of New Palestine, Indiana, Jeff (Tracey) Price of Peru, Indiana, James Price of Walton, Indiana and Allison (James Pericaud) Price of Debary, Florida. Surviving grandchildren include Bryson and Bailey Sleppy, Reed Price, Lydia Judy, Alexandria McDougle, Jameson Price and Carlin Price. Nancy was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Dallas Price, Nala McDougle and Kylen McDougle. One brother also survives, David Finley of Kissimmee, Florida.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with Pastor and longtime friend, Bill Collins officiating. Visitation will take place prior to services Thursday, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Walton Christian Church Benevolence Fund in Nancy's memory. Murray Weaver Funeral Home is honored to serve the Price family.
