Delphi, IN - Mary J. Eikelberner Trapp, 97, formerly of Camden, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at 12:25 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi.

Mary was born on Dec. 16, 1928, in Royal Center, to the late Ray and Docia Brady Eikelberner. Mary married Hershel John Trapp at the Market St. Methodist Church in Logansport, on April 11, 1953, and John preceded her in death on May 14, 1998. Mary graduated from Logansport High School in 1946. She worked for the Bell Telephone Co., from 1946 to 1953. She then was a homemaker and helped her husband on their farm near Camden.

Mary was an active member with the Camden United Methodist Church and involved with the United Methodist Women's group. She also participated in the Aim High Home Ec Club for many years. She was a 50-year member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Camden. She was an avid reader, enjoyed working crossword puzzles, always put out a big garden for her family and neighbors to enjoy, and kept her house looking just right with her many flower gardens she had around their farm. Mary was involved with the Carroll County Cancer Association for many years and was a die-hard Purdue University sports fan, holding season tickets to basketball games for many years. Family was everything to Mary. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and extended family so much, and loved being with them for any occasion.

Surviving: daughter: Debra and James O'Bryan of Ft. Wayne; son, Larry J. Trapp of Camden, daughter, Cathy and Terry Berkshire of Flora; daughter, Lori and Kirk Schwarzkopf of Camden; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren survive.

Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Wendy Ward; three stepsisters, Kathryn Herd, Lucille Sanders and Ilene Brow; three stepbrothers, Joseph and William Eikelberner, and Joe Cotner.

Services: Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until her funeral service at 2 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Rev. Ed Selvidge & Rev. Dan Gottschalk officiating. Burial at Musselman Cemetery, Camden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll Co. Cancer Assoc., or the Jackson Township Library, envelopes available at the funeral home.
