Logansport, IN - Mary Louise (Downham) Gangloff, 99, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025.

She was born on April 2, 1926, to Ted and Cassie (Michaels) Downham. A 1944 graduate of Logansport High School, Mary later attended Indiana University. On Aug. 26, 1945, at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church, she married her husband of 61 years, Robert Gangloff. Mary devoted much of her career to the Logansport State Hospital. She and Bob enjoyed wintering together in Pompano Beach, Florida, and she was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Mary was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother to her children, Cynthia (Steve) Davidson, Caren Johnson and Mark (Karen) Gangloff; brother, Wayne Downham; grandchildren, Rachel Pilotte, Eric (Melissa) Johnson, Emily (Sumanth) Chittajallu and Luke (Ashley) Gangloff; great-grandchildren, Anna Pilotte, Blake Pilotte, Evan Johnson, Noah Johnson, Cole Pilotte, Jackson Gangloff, Grant Gangloff and Leela Chittajallu.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Gangloff, parents; brother, Robert Downham; son-in-law, Edward Johnson.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, from 11 a.m. to noon at the church.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mary may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church.
