Marjorie A. Burge Dillon, 87, Camden, died Saturday Jan. 27, 2018, at 6:20 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She was born Oct. 27, 1930, in Carroll County, Indiana, to the late John and Sarah Rice Burge. Her marriage was to Wayne Lee Dillon in Young America, on Sept 10, 1950, and he survives.

She was a 1949 graduate of Camden High School. She worked at the JCPenny department store in Logansport for 27 years, starting in the fabric and material department, then was manager of the home furnishings department, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing, her flower gardens, her vegetable garden and was an avid reader. She and her family enjoyed traveling and camping. Her greatest love was her family. She dearly loved them all and made each one feel special in her own way. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and school programs. Her family was her life, along with a great faith in the good Lord.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne L. Dillon, Camden; daughters, Sandy and Richard "Smitty" Smith, Logansport, and Lisa and Andy Eikenberry, Flora; sons, Doug and Pat Dillon, Flora, and Jeff and Deb Dillon, Camden; brother, Meredith and Arvila Burge, Delphi; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Evan.

Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. until her funeral service at 1 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, with Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial will be at Camden Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center Resident Fund, envelopes available at the funeral home.
