Logansport, Indiana - Marilyn J. Gerrard, 91, of Logansport, Indiana passed on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, in Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

She was born on Feb. 17, 1934, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Harry C. and Honour R. (Popple) Huffman. She was the oldest of two children, her brother James Huffman preceded her in death. Marilyn graduated from Logansport High School in 1952.

Marilyn married the late William Gerrard on Oct. 25, 1953. Together they have six grown children: Debby Butler, Logansport; Barb Maughmer (Bill), Pine Village; Patti Delon (Rick), Royal Center; David Gerrard (Shari) of Riner, Virginia; Nancy Decker (Mike), Lafayette; and Jeff, Logansport. They also shared several nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church, Logansport, for many years. More recently, she attended the Baptist Christian Church, Royal Center. Marilyn always had a passion for helping others. She loved children, crafting, dolls and household projects.

Marilyn drove busses for Pioneer School Corporation for 27 years. She also worked in service to others in multiple locations in Cass County, including Camelot Care Center, and Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be at Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center on Friday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The funeral service will begin at noon, with burial in Kistler Cemetery following. The Rev. Joel Sharp, pastor of Baptist Christian Church, will officiate.
