Kelsie Lynn Biltz Obituary

Kelsie Lynn Biltz, 26, of Rochester, was fatally injured when her motorcycle collided with a car that pulled in her path on Friday evening, May 21, 2021. She was pronounced deceased at Logansport Memorial Hospital shortly after her arrival.

On June 4, 1994, Kelsie was born in Logansport. She was the treasured daughter of Anthony "Andy" D. Biltz and Renda Doss.

Kelsie was a 2013 graduate of Rochester High School. Being very competitive, she excelled in basketball and cross country. She was also a peer helper. Kelsie would also enter dirt bike competitions, as she preferred two wheels.

With a strong work ethic, Kelsie was an accomplished forklift driver for Rochester Homes. Previously, she worked at Lau Industries, Kroger and The Label Shopper.

With a great love for the outdoors, Kelsie floated the Tippecanoe or Wabash rivers. She enjoyed the challenges of deer hunting and fishing year-round. Summertime brought on floating around Lake Manitou on the pontoon and swimming to chill out.

Kelsie's vibrant persona and warm smile would light up any room as she brought love and happiness to all she met. Aunt Kelsie was greatly admired by her nieces and nephews, and she loved being their aunt. Listening to REO Speedwagon and playing the PlayStation were great ways to relax.

Left to cherish Kelsie's memory are her fiancee, Jon-Tae Harper, of Rochester; parents, Andy and Kim Biltz, of Kewanna, and Renda Doss, of Logansport; four sisters, Brittany Abbott and husband, Greg III, of Logansport, Taylor Shackelford and fiance, Brandon Rogness, New Rockton, North Dakota, Destiny Rice, of North Manchester, and Crystal Smith, of Rochester; a brother, Johnathan Miller, of Rochester; grandparents, Terry and Lynn Biltz, of Rochester, and Pamela and Harold Conklin, of Logansport; 13 nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; a canine companion, October, a gray brindle and tan pit bull puppy; and a feline companion, Miss Kitty, a black and white domestic longhair.

Preceding Kelsie in death were her grandmother, Amanda "Helen" Biltz, on Nov. 18, 2010; two uncles, Richard Biltz, on Sept. 5, 2015, and David Biltz, on Nov. 16, 2016; and her canine companion, "Nike," a Poodle-Chow special blend, in December 2020.

A celebration of the life of Miss Kelsie Lynn Biltz will be 6 p.m. Thursday May 27, 2021, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Mr. Alvin Doss and Mr. Rick Sexton officiating. Her family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.

The family asks that everyone be aware of motorcycles.
