Logansport, IN - Joyce A. Likens, 80, of Logansport, passed away peacefully at 4:28 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, in Peru.

Born on Nov. 11, 1944, in Rockfield, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Nellie (Bruce) Powell. On May 22, 1964, she married Phillip H. Likens. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2000.

She retired in 2014 from Logansport Memorial Hospital in Housekeeping. Joyce was a former member of the Logansport Eagles and she enjoyed dancing, riding her bike, taking walks and, most of all, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, James Likens (Joni) of Logansport, John Likens (Amy) and Christianna Gibson of Peru; brothers, James Powell (Cherrie) of Sellersburg, Dennis Powell of Logansport and Thomas Powell (Lisa) of Logansport; sister, Rita Bonnell of Peru; and grandchildren, Matthew, Johnathon, Megan, David, Dylan, Hillary, Dalton, Daiten, William and Aubrey. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, Logansport. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
