Rochester, Indiana - Joy Byers 86, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 5:14 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1938, in Logansport, Indiana, the daughter of George T. and Helen N. (Sloop) Byers.

Survivors include her daughter, Twyla (Bill) Rader, Danville, Indiana; grandson, Wil (Madison) Beaty, Coatesville, Indiana; brothers, Dean Byers, Plymouth, Indiana, Dale (Jeannie) Byers, Logansport, Indiana, Jay (Martine) Byers, Logansport, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Naomi Starr Hoffman; and sister-in-law, Clarisse Byers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, Indiana.
