Twelve Mile, Indiana - James Robert Thomas, 65, Twelve Mile, passed away at 7:29 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Logansport, on July 20, 1956, to the late Raymond Lewis and Donnabelle Margaret (Zeider) Thomas.
James was a 1974 graduate of Caston High School. He was a lifelong farmer. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, bird hunting and mushroom hunting.
James is survived by his children, Allen (Kristen) Thomas, Bryan (Katina) Thomas and Paige (Kyle) Kamp; grandchildren, Cameron Thomas, Bryce Thomas, Zoe Thomas, Addison Thomas, Cavin Beavers, Kaitlyn Beavers, Rylee Thomas, Shelby Thomas, Harlan Kamp, Nicholas Thomas and Amelia Thomas; significant other, Bethellen Richardson and her three daughter and their families; siblings, Steve (Karen) Thomas, Kay Zweedyk and Ray Anne (Harold) Hibbard; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Thomas Jr.; and brother, Rich Thomas.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday May 27, 2022, at Chapel Ministries Outreach, 3054 W. 400 N., Peru, IN. 46970. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, at the church. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.
