James Jones Obituary
James Joseph Jones, 90, Winamac, formerly of Logansport, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Jim was born on July 26, 1926 in Royal Center to the late Howard and Thelma Huffman Jones. On Oct. 1, 1945, he married Joan Lowe in Logansport. She survives. Jim served in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Elks Lodge. Jim was a co-founder of Jones Brothers Construction, Engineering Construction Corporation, Engineering Aggregates Corporation and Standard Auto Parts.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Lowe Jones of Winamac; daughters, Jill (Bruce) Brumm of Winamac, Judi (Peter) Keay of Owosso, Michigan, Jody (Mike) Petrie of Carmel; son, Joe Jones of Logansport; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Howard and Thelma Huffman Jones; sister, Jayne Porter; and brother, William C. Jones.
Private family services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Winamac Town Park.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
