Helen M. Fowler, 87, Lucerne, passed away peacefully at 1 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, at her home.
Born August 26, 1928 in Elkhart, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bonnie (Wolf) McCloskey. On Dec. 31, 1950, she married Harold Fowler, who survives.
She was a 1945 Logansport High School graduate.
Helen retired from General Telephone where she worked as a telephone operator. She was a devoted homemaker and mother.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her devoted caretaker and husband, Harold Fowler, Lucerne; son, Bradley Fowler (Nancy), Walton; daughter, Sandra Kistler (Jay), Flora; and sisters, Betty Viney, Logansport, and Lois Sherrill, West Lafayette.
Grammy Helen is also survived by six grandchildren, Melissa Ayres (Josh), Tyler Fowler, Kayla Tinsman (Rustin), Abbey Hardin (Evan), Emily Beaver (Jarred) and Drew Fowler; and six great-grandchildren, Jacob Ayres, Grace Ayres, Travis Tinsman, Brooklyn Tinsman, Harper Hardin and Luke Beaver.
Services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements entrusted to Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Royal Center.
