Helen L. Anderson Obituary

Helen Anderson, 98, Delphi, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette.

Helen was born in Jackson Township, Carroll County, to the late John R. and Stella M. (Linton) Denton. She attended Woodville and later Flora High School.

She married Charles A. "Andy" Anderson on Nov. 20, 1936, at the Delphi Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1982.

Helen was a longtime member of the Delphi United Methodist Church, 50-year member of the Rain & Shine Class, a member of the WTCU, the Rebecca Lodge and the Deer Creek Home Ec Club.

Helen enjoyed quilting.

She is survived by her son, Charles L. Anderson (Jinx) of Bringhurst; daughters, Patricia Potts (Wayne) of Delphi, Claire Anderson (Terry) of Wyoming, Michigan, Geneva Martin (Bill) of Lafayette; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Bettie Butcher; sons, Daniel and Gary; two brothers; one sister; and a grandson.

A private graveside service will be Saturday, June 16, at Woodville Cemetery near Camden. Pastor Sheri Rohrer will officiate.
