Kokomo, IN. - Harry J. Richter, Jr., 84, of Kokomo, passed away on Oct. 9, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent of Kokomo.

He was born on Aug. 8, 1941, to the late Harry J. Richter Sr. and Dorothy (Strahlem) Richter in Logansport.

He graduated from Logansport High School with the class of 1959. He married Peggy Barlow on May 23, 1985. Harry was an inspector for Chrysler for 37 years before retiring in 2001.

He is survived by daughter, Marcia Smith; son, Brian (Vicki) Barlow; son-in-law, Tim Adams; brother, Bill (Ellen) Richter; brother, Earl (Kathy) Richter; grandchildren: Chad (Jenni) Barlow, Jeremy (Amber) Barlow, Adam (Alyx) Smith, Brittany (Keith) Suter, Derek (Katie) Smith, Grace Adams, Abigail Adams, Turner Adams; great-grandchildren: Jordan Barlow, Rachael (Lacie) Barlow, Mackenzie (Brookyn) Barlow, Connor (Amanda) Barlow, Victoria Barlow, Cali Barlow, Hayley Suter, Callen Smith, Aubrey Suter, Caden Smith; great-great-grandchildren: Vera Lambert, Grayson Hughes.; several nieces and nephews; several grand-dogs and grand-cats.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harry J. Richter Sr. and Dorothy (Strahlem) Richter; sister, Karen Kesler; daughter, Susie Adams; son-in-law, Jerry Smith; great-grandson, Carson Smith.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., at Sunset Funeral Home in Kokomo on Oct. 20, 2025, with the funeral service starting at 2 p.m.
