Georgia Joan Reinholt Obituary

Portland - Georgia Joan Reinholt, 89, affectionately known as "Grunt" to all who loved her, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Portland, Indiana.

Born on Aug. 26, 1936, Joan was the daughter of the late George and Mae (Helton) Collins. She treasured the years she lived on the farm with her husband Gene, where she helped him work in the fields and raise many animals over the years. Joan was a loyal and hardworking employee for 30 years at Winamac Coil Spring, where she could run every machine in the factory. Loving the hunt for a good bargain, Joan rarely passed a garage sale without stopping. She never met a stranger and delighted in striking up conversations wherever she went. Joan had a deep faith in God. Aside from her faith, there was nothing more dear to her than family. She loved cooking for others and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandkids. Joan was very proud of her family, and loved to share stories and photos of them with everyone.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Vickie Foudray of Winchester, Indiana, Lisa Reidy of Winchester, Indiana and Kim (Garry) Foerg of Winamac, Indiana; her son, Eric (Carol) Colvin of Kewanna, Indiana; and her sister, Teresa Collins of Frankton, Indiana. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

She is at peace, reunited with those loved ones who preceded her in death, including her parents; husband, Gene R. Reinholt; infant son, Kelly; sons-in-law, John Foudray and Tim Reidy; granddaughter, Bridget Reidy; brothers, Bob Lacy and Mox "Bud" Lacy; sister, Bertha Wynn; and her beloved dogs, Rascal and Missy, who brought her great comfort and joy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the United Pentecostal Church in Winchester, Indiana, with funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Maxville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Joan's memory to Riley Hospital for Children or your local animal shelter.
