Gary J Foerman Obituary

He loved God, family, and country.

Gary J. Foerman, 74, of Royal Center, went to Heaven at 8:37 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, from COVID-19 related complications.

He was born to the late Bryce and Virginia (Caughell) Foerman on Sept. 6, 1946, in Logansport, at the old St. Joseph Hospital. On Oct. 4, 1974, at the Bell Center Bible Church of rural Burnettsville, Gary married Diana Christine Woodhouse; she survives.

Gary received his bachelor of science in agriculture from the University of Arizona and his bachelor of science in nursing from IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, Indiana).

He retired from nursing after 25 years at the Logansport State Hospital in Logansport.

Gary served with the First Marine Division in the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged on April 20, 1975.

He accepted Christ as his Savior in July of 1978, at a funeral where the minister spoke on The Second Death.

Gary loved God, family, and country.

His greatest desire would be for everyone to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Diana C. "Chris" Foerman, of Royal Center; daughter, Rebekah Foerman, of Royal Center; son, David (wife Shannon) Foerman, of Huntington; three grandchildren, Bryce (wife Irene) Foerman, Kendall, and Noah Foerman, all of Huntington; two sisters, Celia and Marsha Foerman, both of Arizona; sister-in-law, Kathy (husband Gary) Wooldridge of Galveston; three brothers-in-law, Steve, Ben and Larry Woodhouse; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Boyce Ragene and Virginia Ruth (Caughell) Foerman.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, followed by a celebration of life service, will be at the funeral home beginning at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 7, 2020, with Rev. Ed Roller of the Bell Center Bible Church of rural Burnettsville officiating.

Burial will follow at the Seceeder / Cedarville Cemetery in rural Carroll County.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given to Amazing Grace Missions or Josiah Venture. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home, 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
