Gary Lee Enders Obituary

Logansport, IN - Gary Lee Enders, 71, of Logansport, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born May 1, 1954, in Bremen, he was the son of Virgil and Dorothy Enders. He grew up on the family farm with his brother, Loren (Deb) Enders, and sister, Linda (Tom) Heisler, where he learned the values of hard work, faith and family—qualities that guided him throughout his life.

A natural athlete and leader, Gary excelled in football, wrestling and track and field at Triton High School, earning numerous honors as an offensive lineman and serving as Class President. He later attended Ball State University, majoring in accounting and joining Beta Theta Pi, where he built lifelong friendships and found joy in bringing people together.

In 1978, Gary married the love of his life, Cheryl, on Sept. 16. Together they built a home filled with faith and laughter, raising three children—Lindsay (Preston) Triplett, Brian (Shana) Enders and Daniel (Valerie) Enders—who were his greatest joy. Though he worked tirelessly, Gary always made time for his family, whether playing outside, helping with schoolwork or reading bedtime stories. Family meant everything to him, and he poured his heart into every moment they shared.

Gary dedicated over 40 years to the Pepsi Bottling Company in Logansport, where he rose to vice president and general manager. Under his leadership, the company experienced tremendous growth and success. But what mattered most to him were the people—those he mentored, supported and celebrated along the way.

A man of deep faith, Gary was a devoted member and deacon of Calvary Presbyterian Church, where he served for many years. He loved singing in the choir and especially treasured being part of the men's quartet during Christmas Eve services.

Above all, Gary was a family man—a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loving son. He adored his grandchildren—Charles and Veronica Triplett; Beau Liebner; Silas and Rhys Enders; and James and Lucas Enders, and loved playing with them like a kid himself, finding pure joy in their laughter. Whether cheering from the sidelines or spending quiet evenings with Cheryl, he was happiest surrounded by those he loved most.

Gary's generosity, optimism and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed every single day.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, in the Gundrum Funeral Home, with Pastor Daniel Lute officiating.

A visitation will be held from 3 - 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cass County Humane Society, honoring the kindness and generosity that defined his life.
