Frederick A. Brown, 85, of Rochester, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his residence.

Born Feb. 26, 1935 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Gray) Brown. He was a 1953 Kewanna High School graduate.

Fred was a U.S. Army veteran. Fred was married to Shirley Johns for more than 40 years; she preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 1999. He was then married to Barbara Talbott Enyeart for more than 17 years; she preceded Fred in death on Dec. 22, 2018.

Fred started his career with U.S. Airways in Parkersburg, West Virginia, later transferring to Orlando, Florida where he retired after 32-plus years. Fred enjoyed fishing, gardening, picking berries, spending time on the Brown family farm during the planting and harvest seasons and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Terry (Becky) Brown of Kewanna, Craig (Betty) Brown of St. Cloud, Florida and Cindy (Art) Ayers of Belpre, Ohio; step-son, Scott (Mary) Enyeart of El Cajon, California; sisters, Evelyn Peters of Kewanna and Vivian Hathaway of Warsaw; sister-in-law, Katherine "Kay" Brown of Kewanna; brother-in-law, Don McKinzie of Columbia City; grandchildren, Jeremy (Brooke) Ayers of Marietta, Ohio; Kelsey (Ryan) Kiser of St. Cloud, Florida; Christopher (Kiersta) Ayers of Williamstown, West Virginia; Amber Brown of Windermere, Florida; Kyndall Brown of Amite, Louisiana; and great-grandchildren, Madden Ayers, Maverick Ayers, Wyatt Ayers and Kynleigh Kiser.

He was also preceded in death by brother, Jerry Brown; sister, Jeanine McKinzie; and brothers-in-law, Sonny Peters and Robert Hathaway.

Services will be private. Burial will be at Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, Kewanna.
