Logansport, IN - Eugene Francis Lewellen, age 82, of Logansport, passed away June 7, 2025, at Cedar Creek of Logansport.
Born December 10, 1942, in Logansport to the late Arthur and Florence (Shlick) Lewellen.
Gene retired from Delco as a machinist and was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in Korean during the Vietnam War. As a child he became a member of the All-Saints Catholic Church and attended school in Logansport.
Surviving are his two sons, Eugene Paul (Paula Doll) Lewellen of Logansport, and Patrick Wayne (Amie Dillon) Lewellen, of Logansport; two brothers, Frank Lewellen, Logansport, William Lewellen, Logansport; Two grandchildren, Nicole (Travis) Emery, Jessica (Bo Nice) Rhodes of Logansport; 5 great grandchildren and a very close friend, Angie Barnes.
Preceding him are his parents, Arthur and Florence Lewellen; sisters, Catherine Searcy, Mary Ann Michael, and Constance Lammer; grandchild, Jaiden Lewellen; a great grandchild, Nyght Emery.
A celebration of life will be on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating. Full military rites will be provided by the Cass County Honor Guard.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, all in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
