Doris A. Raihle
Doris A. Raihle, 80, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019 in Chase Center, where she was surrounded by love with her family at her side.
Born July 8, 1939, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Ray and Mildred E. (Shaver) Neher.
Doris was a member of the Logansport High School Class of 1957.
Her first marriage was to Marty Schreyer who preceded her in death. She was married to Charles Stephenson Jr. who preceded her in death. On Sept. 10, 2000, in Logansport, she was married to Melvin A. Raihle, who precede her in death on Oct. 26, 2012.
In 1999, Doris retired from General Tire/Trelleborg where she had worked for over 30 years.
Doris was a member of the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene.
Her family meant everything to her. Through her strong faith in good times and bad, Doris was the beloved matriarch of a wonderful family.
Along with gardening and being an expert at cooking for a large family, Doris enjoyed crocheting, amateur painting and sewing
Surviving are five children, Martin (Amy) Schreyer, Westernville, New York; Sharon Johnston, Peru; Gary (Kim) Schreyer, Royal Center; and Lois (Steve) Hunt and Lisa Stephenson of Logansport; brother, Pat Neher, Logansport; sisters, Nancy (Gayle) Richmond, Kokomo; Janice Weiland, California; and Kathy (Larry), Kokomo; 12 grandchildren, Kris, Laura, Trent, Tyler, Hilary, Abby, Garrett, Maddie, Nick, Lindy, Raylie and Jeremy; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marta Schreyer Phillips; two grandchildren, Caleb Schreyer and Heidi Damaré; her son-in-law, Bill Johnston; and sister-in-law, Dixie Neher.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Doris Raihle will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene at 109 W. Clinton St. with Pastor Jeff Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at Fisher Funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Road, Logansport, and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Friday.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene or to the Cass County Humane Society.
