Doris Ann Alter
Doris Ann Alter, 86, of Camden, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday morning, Feb. 6, at Bloom in Kokomo.
She was born June 28, 1933, in Evansville, to the late Grace and Robert Wagner.
On Feb. 8, 1989 in Nashville, Tennessee, she wedded the love of her life, Bill Alter, who preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2015.
Her and her husband enjoyed family gatherings, relaxing at the lake and wintering in Florida. Doris retired from Square D in Peru, after working there and making friends for more than 20 years. She was also an active member and secretary of the bowling league.
She is survived by her son Clifton (Sue) Stinson of Sebring, Florida; two daughters, Cynthia (Brian) Culbertson of Camden and Alice (Mark) Holdren of Lake Wales, Florida; as well as a step-daughter, Debra (Peter) Hodgen of Frankfort; two step-sons, Randy Alter of Fort Wayne and Alva Ray Alter of Logansport; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
