Logansport, Indiana - David "Michael" Parker, 85, Logansport, Indiana, passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, in St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo, Indiana. He was known as "Mike" by all of his friends and family.

Born Aug. 29, 1940, Logansport, he was the son of the late Earnest T. and Veda (Wissinger) Parker.

On June 9, 1963, in Mexico Indiana, David married Dixie (Strasser) Parker, who preceded him in death, June 30, 2018. Their children survive: Jenny (Todd) Weinley, of Bluffton, Indiana, and Jonathon (Amanda) Parker, of Young America, Indiana; along with Mike & Dixie's grandchildren: Brittany (Madrid) Geisler, Sydney (Adam) Kennedy, Gabbi (Lance) Hoch, Lars (Adelae) Geisler, Sylas Parker, Averi Parker, Preston Parker, Jamison Douglas, Olivia Parker, and Jeremiah McKillip; and five great-grandchildren.

On Sept. 30, 2023, in Logansport, Mike married Carmen Guy-Parker. With this marriage, he gained five additional children, Dawn Smith, Shawn (Trish) Guy, Kristy (Mike) Eidson, Kelly (Steve) Criswell, and Missy (Gary) Beckley; 17 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

He worked as a truck driver for several companies, including Wilson Foods, Exide, USF Holland and ISI. Mike took pride in the miles he put behind him.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and caring for his yard. He was a man of integrity, honor — and a man of his word. He was a very caring and giving man. Mike had a very close relationship with his Lord and Savior. He was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.

Also preceding in death were his brother, Earnest Parker, and sisters, Shirley Griffith, Jodie Byers, and Susie Moulten.

Full military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army and the Cass County Honor Guard at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 in Fisher Funeral Chapel. A funeral service celebrating Mike's life will follow with Dawn Fisher officiating.

Visitation will be held from 3 - 5 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home.
