Peru, Indiana - Daniel Alan Ross, 52, Peru, passed away at 10:22 pm Monday, January 16, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born February 17, 1970, in Kokomo, the son of David & Beverly (Norwood) Ross.

Daniel graduated from Eastern High School in 1988 and attended Vincennes University. He worked for Chrysler Corp Casting Plant as a Fork Truck driver in shipping and receiving and was a member of UAW Local #1166. He loved to fish, hunt, paintball, snowmobile and ride ATV's and UTV's. He had a love for animals, especially his dogs Wagon Dog, Shadow, Max, Maia and Mini along with his current feline friend "Possum". Daniel also enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Anna Marie Island in Florida and Salmon fishing in Michigan with family.

Along with his parents, Daniel is also survived by his son, Donavan Ross (Kaya); sister, Jennifer (Scot) Ross; aunts and uncles, Gary (Terri) Norwood, Pamela Davis, Millie Ross, Shirley Caruthers and Virginia Crimmons; cousins, Wendy (Kip) Bunch, Laurie (Mike) Haynes, Amanda (Joshua) Fields, Dale (Barb) Rogers, Robert Ross, Roger Ross, Rusty Ross and Lisa Eyrolles; special cousins, Craig Wolf and Jamie (Darlynn) Norwood; along with many other extended cousins on his mother's (Ulery) side.

Daniel was preceded in death by his uncles, Jim Davis and Bob Ross; maternal grandparents, Glen and Jean Norwood; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Mabel Ross.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Jason Grant officiating.
