Logansport, Indiana - Daniel R. Marchal, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 10, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was born in Logansport on Jan. 5, 1951, one of eight children, to Jason and Ruth (Pattee) Marchal, both deceased.

He graduated from Logansport High School in 1970. Daniel shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with his cherished wife, Betty, whom he married on August 29, 1976. Together, they built a life filled with love and beautiful memories.

Daniel worked in groundskeeping and maintenance for 28 years for the Logansport Country Club; he later retired from the Logansport Parks Department, nurturing the spaces that brought joy to the community.

He loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening and growing plants from seed.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Marchal, his son, William Matthew Marchal (Johanna); his siblings, Tim Marchal (Tammy), Linda Small (Morris), Connie Robbins, Jean Jones. He is also remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Marchal, Mike Marchal and Larry Marchal.
