Logansport, IN - Daniel Loehmer, 76, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

He was born on Aug. 27, 1948, in Monterey, Indiana, to the late Nicholas and Veronica (Schutz) Loehmer. After graduating from Monterey High School in 1966, he completed his ironworker apprenticeship. Daniel was drafted into the US Army in 1969, and was stationed in Colorado from 1969-1971. He returned home to Indiana and resumed his 38 year-long career as a union ironworker. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local #379 in Lafayette.

Daniel was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting and fishing, liked a good card game, never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune and was well-known for his large vegetable garden. His work ethic was unmatched, and he was always willing to lend a hand. He loved his children and extended family very much, and was a proud "Big Beard Grandpa." Daniel will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his children, Joshua Loehmer of North Manchester and April (Keith) Stouder of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Emerson Stouder and Liam Stouder; four siblings, Raymond Loehmer of Portage, Irene (Daniel) Forest of Monterey, Loretta Watkins of Ft. Wayne and Loren (Angela) Loehmer of Monterey; and a brother-in-law, David Reinhold of Kewanna; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

Preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Veronica (Schutz) Loehmer; four siblings, Ralph (Ethel) Loehmer, Virginia (James) Mutt, Virgidelle Weasel and Vivian Reinhold; and a sister-in-law, Anne Loehmer.

Cremation will take place at Frain Crematory in Winamac. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. EDT Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Anne's Cemetery Fund. Online Condolences may be offered at www.frainmortuary.com.
