Christine Marie "Chris" Reynolds, 81, of Monticello, passed away at 2:25 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born on Thursday, Nov. 12, 1936, in Pyrmont to the late Bruno J. and Thelma G. (Hathaway) Peters. On June 2, 1960, in Logansport, she married Richard L. "Dick" Reynolds; he passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008.

Chris had lived in the Monticello area for over 25 years. She had been in failing health for the last several months.

Chris was a graduate of the American School of Chicago. She had worked at the former A&P Grocery Store of Monticello from 1959 to 1984.

Chris and her late husband, Dick, owned and operated the Norway Camp Ground of Monticello from 1985 to 2005. She was a member of the First Church of God of Idaville. Chris was also a member of the American Legion Post #81, VFW Post #2231 Ladies Auxiliaries and the Women of the Moose, all of Monticello.

Surviving are children, Kent (fiancée Susette Rubeck) Reynolds of Monticello and Jana and Pam McIntire, both of Logansport; grandchildren, Kaden Richard Reynolds of Lafayette, David Shane Reynolds of Chalmers, and Mark Knight of Michigan; great-grandchildren, Micah David Reynolds of Chalmers, Daulton, and Summer Knight of Michigan; siblings, Mary Caughill of North Manchester, Anita Smith of Holiday, Florida, Jerry (Ruthie) Peters of Elberfelt, Alan Peters, and Glen (Jean) Peters of Indianapolis; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno J. and Thelma J. (Hathaway) Peters; husband, Richard L. "Dick" Reynolds; sons, Barry Reynolds and Jeff McIntire; and brothers-in-law, Bob Caughell and Charles Smith.

Private family graveside services were held at the Idaville Cemetery in Idaville.

Memorials may be given to the Idaville Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
