Delphi - Carolyn Sue (Army) Johnson, 81, of Delphi, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home in Delphi.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1943, in Logansport, Indiana, to the late Joseph Robert and Irene Virginia (Lee) Army.
Carolyn was married to Robert John Johnson in Logansport on April 28, 1961, and he preceded her in passing on Dec. 5, 2014. She retired from Essex Wire, where she worked as a Coil Winder for 15 years before retiring in 1985. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, dancing, camping and search and find puzzles. More than anything, Carolyn cherished every moment that was spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Rob (Sue) Johnson II and Rick (Theresa) Johnson; a brother, Terry Army; sister, Shirley Ann (Jim) Parmeter; grandsons, Richard Jason Johnson, Benjamin Paul Johnson and Matthew Robert Johnson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Robert Army, Milford "Jr", and Donald Eugene Hutsell.
Services for Carolyn will be Friday, May 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the IOOF Memorial Gardens at Pittsburg, Indiana. Please share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com
