Monticello - Carol W. Smoot, 93, of Monticello, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at I.U. Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on Dec. 17, 1929, in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Winona (Herr) Albright.

She was a 1947 Royal Center High School graduate. Carol retired from Delco in Kokomo after 25 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello and enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing games and going to shows in Branson, Missouri, where she formerly resided.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Jacobi of Monticello, Carol Ostheimer (Dick) of Monticello and Cheryl Arnett of Greentown; grandchildren, Bill Neese (Lindsey), Kristy Tisdale, Meera Good, Meghan Ostheimer, Joe Sexton (fiancé Jenn Schaub), Carley Arnett, Ariel Arnett, Jen Brobst (JB) and JJ Wilson; great-grandchildren, Brady and Hadley Neese, Jesse Harris, Brooke Harris, Chelsie Smith (Nathan), Kayleen, Julia, and Hannah Good, Brayden Ostheimer, Declan Nyberg, Abby Landis, Maddie and Zoey Sexton and Sid and Liz Brobst and Ozzlend; and great-great-grandchildren, Natalie Riley, and Ellie. She is also survived by son-in-law, Rick Wilson of Young America.

She was also preceded in death by daughter, Mary Wilson; grandson, Ryan Ostheimer; brothers, Bill and Bob Albright; and brother-in-law, Richard Galloway.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov 21, 2023, at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Miller-Roscka on the 21st. Burial will take place at Sunset Memory Gardens in Kokomo, Indiana, on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m.
