Bud W. Krohn, Jr. Obituary

Bud William Krohn, Jr., of Winamac passed away at 1:34 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family.

Born on June 19, 1949 in Winamac, he was the son of the late Bud W., Sr. and Dorothy (Frasa) Krohn.

Bud was a lifelong farmer of livestock and grain; he was also formerly employed at Dean Foods in Rochester and served in the Indiana National Guards. Bud graduated from Winamac Community High School and attended Indiana State University.

Bud had a big heart for civil service. He served as a Pulaski County Commissioner, a Board Member of Fulton County REMC, Eastern Pulaski School Board Member, and Indiana State Fair Board Director. He was also very active for several years with Pulaski County 4-H and a strong supporter and advocate for all local FFA and 4-H programs. Bud enjoyed Purdue basketball, toy tractors, all things political, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Bud instilled his love for youth livestock and farming in his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, Joshua Krohn (Bridgette) of Lamesa, Texas; daughter, Cristy Sinclair (David) of Danville; brother, Robert Krohn (Theresa) of Sheridan; sister, Marilyn Newman (Greg Loehmer) of Winamac; grandchildren, Kenley Krohn, Thomas Krohn, Caroline Krohn, Gavin Sinclair and Katelyn Sinclair and beloved co-grandparent, Cindra Krohn of Burlington.

He was also preceded in death by brother in law, Ed Newman.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Crematory, Kewanna Chapel.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Burial will be at McKinley Memorial Gardens in Winamac.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bud's honor to the Indiana State Fair Celebration of Champions directly or through Community State Bank in Royal Center.
