Brian  Thomas
Brian Thomas, 44, Monticello, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
Brian was born in Logansport on Dec. 3, 1974.
Brian was a 1993 graduate of Lewis Cass High School and a 2001 graduate of Indiana University-Kokomo where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
He furthered his studies at Ball State University, earning a Master of Arts degree in Education Administration and Supervision.
Since 2014, Brian was a much-loved chemistry teacher and former tennis coach at Rossville High School. He had previously taught at Lewis Cass High School where he had served as a tennis coach.
Brian loved sports and enjoyed working as a football referee as well as a volleyball and swimming official.
He loved his family immensely and one of his favorite activities was fishing and boating with his children on Lake Freeman. He enjoyed golf and was an avid Colts fans. Brian also bartended at Shooters in Logansport.
Brian is survived by his children Trey Thomas and Kelsey Thomas, both of Logansport; his mother and step-father, Sally (Brown) and Keith McAndrews, Logansport; his father, Joe Thomas, Tennessee; one brother, Brad Thomas, Alamogordo, New Mexico; two step-brothers, Chris (Megan) McAndrews, Syracuse, New York and Brad (Amanda) McAndrews, Fort Wayne; maternal grandparents, Tom and Elaine Brown, Walton; paternal grandparents, Don and Mary Thomas, Ft. Myers, Florida; aunts and uncles, Gary Brown, Julia (Brown) Lowe, Lynn Brown and Susan Arnet; niece, Sydney Thomas; and nephew, Dane Thomas and several cousins.
A funeral service celebrating Brian's life will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Fisher Funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Road, Logansport.
Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Logansport Children's Choir or the Logansport Music Boosters Association.

We re so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing! Sally, we got to really know Brian when he taught and coached at Cass! I subbed in his class, he alway made me laugh and treated us with kindness! im so thankful and blessed to have known brian for the short time God blessed us with together. I'll remember your contagious smile and our sing along jam sessions in the car the most. thoughts and prayers going up for everyone that loved him. may we somehow how find peace and strength through the fond memories he left each of us with.
