Peru, IN - Bethanne (Schlegelmilch) York, 85, of Logansport, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born Dec. 14, 1939, to the late Robert S. and Elizabeth (Ross) Schlegelmilch. On September 22, 1963, in Logansport she married James "Jim" O. York, who survives.

Bethanne ran her own Interior Design business, decorating houses and businesses for many years, making each unique and adding her own charm.

Including her loving husband Jim, she is survived by her sons, Mark (Christine) York of Roann, Indiana, and Bob York of Albany, Kentucky; three sisters, twin sister Annette (Larry) Phipps of Walton, Indiana, Carol Rush of Walton, Indiana, Diane Schlegelmilch of Walton, Indiana; brother, Dan (Michele) Schlegelmilch of Zionsville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Karen S. Schlegelmilch of Galveston, Indiana; four grandchildren, Laurel, Parker, Jack and Liam York.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother; brother, Don Robert Schlegelmilch; sister, Monta Marie Schlegelmilch.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 1 p.m., in the Gundrum Funeral Home, with Pastor Dale Holzbauer and Bruce Cameron officiating. A burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery at Santa Fe, Indiana.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., all at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Onward Christian Church.
