Cape Coral, Florida - Barbara Ann Hosier Morrill passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026, after a prolonged illness at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born December 17, 1949, to Glen Russell and Martha Louise Baker Hosier in Logansport, IN. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Clayton, and her brother David.
Barbara is survived by her children Michael Morrill (Dana) and Amber (Jaime) Sillas, Cape Coral; her sister, Kay Schardein (Keith), Green Valley, AZ; two maternal aunts: Marolyn Baker Gale, 99, Walton, IN and Maxine Baker Gale, 97, Carmel IN; grandchildren Kiara Morrill, Cape Coral; Michael, Jordan, Nikolas and Samuel Sillas, Cape Coral; Jade Morrill Koehler (Michael), Delta Junction, AL; great-grandchildren Elliott and Alphonsus Koehler, Delta Junction, AL; and several maternal and paternal cousins.
Barbara married Clayton Edgar Morrill on December 1, 1973. She graduated with the LHS Class of 68 and earned her RN from IU-Kokomo. She worked in many nursing settings while raising her family and eventually provided extended care for both her husband and her mother, and she was a long-time member of the Faith Presbyterian Church.
Her remains will be interred on June 28 with Clayton in the Sarasota National Cemetery.
