Annie Ruth Pruett Obituary

Annie Ruth Pruett, 86, Kewanna, passed away at 1:54 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.

Born Jan. 11, 1931, in Smithville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Charles Eli and Hattie Byrd (Green) Judkins.

On Sept. 29, 1951, she married Earl "Buck" Pruett. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2014.

Annie retired from RBM in Logansport after 40 years. She also formerly worked in home health care.

Annie enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of Church of God in Rochester.

Survivors include a son, Jack Pruett of Logansport; daughter, LaDonna Lachance (Christopher) of Kewanna; grandchildren, Scott Imler, Chrystle Lachance and Mariah Lachance; and a great-granddaughter, Payton Imler.

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Delphene Padgett and Cloe Cantrell; and brothers, Jim Judkins, JC Judkins and Gentry Judkins.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel, with Pastor Larry Pyeatt officiating. Burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park in Logansport.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home.
