Andrea Kathleen "Kathy" Henderson-Zabel, 57, of Hot Springs, Arkansas (formerly of Peru), passed away at 5:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, at the St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

She was born on Wednesday, March 13, 1963, at the former White County Memorial Hospital of Monticello, to the late Francis Eugene and Clara J. "June" (Brewer) Henderson.

Kathy had lived in Indiana most all of her life before moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas, a year and a half ago. She was a 1981 graduate of Twin Lakes High School of Monticello.

Kathy loved to cook and was an amazing cook. She could cook for thousands of people. She loved animals and cried once when she hit and killed a squirrel.

Kathy lived her life as only "she could."

Surviving are son, Nolan (wife, Kelley) Henderson, of Peru; three stepdaughters, Nicole "Nikki" Zabel, of Peru, Lee Ann Zabel, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Kristen Zabel, of Peru; stepson, Bronson Zabel, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Emma and Declan Henderson; several step-grandchildren; three sisters, Laurie Henderson, of Monon, Dawn Flynn, of Brookston, and Kaylee M. Bonnette, of North Judson; brother, Kole Bonnette, of Kokomo; companion, Rocky Smith, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and former husband, Dennis Zabel, of Peru.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Eugene and Clara J. "June" (Brewer) Henderson.

No visitation or services are scheduled for the public. Everything was private for the family.
