Sarasota, Florida - Amanda Lou (Polen) Roller died Dec. 17, 2025, at the age of 95, in Sarasota, Florida.

Born in Crawford County, Indiana, on Oct. 8, 1929, Amanda was the first of identical twins born to Bertha Mae (Weeks) (Reese) (Polen) Emery and George Samuel Polen. In addition to her beloved twin, Mary Ellen (Polen) Harriman, Amanda Lou had two older sisters, Flossie Mae (Reese) Early and Ruth Alberta (Reese) Clevenger, and an older brother, Charles Orem Reese.

Amanda Lou graduated in 1947 from Burnettsville High School, along with Warren Leon Roller, whom she married on June 10, 1951, on the same day he graduated from Purdue University and was commissioned an officer in the US Navy. They shared 61 years of happy marriage until his death in 2012. Amanda Lou and Warren Leon built their lives in Wooster, Ohio, where Warren Leon worked for the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center of The Ohio State University, and eventually chaired the Department of Agricultural Engineering.

Amanda was a lifelong learner and active reader, participating in her church's Women's Circle and Sunday School class until just weeks before her death. Amanda lived a life of service and had a passion for politics, serving for years as a poll worker on election days. Amanda also was a beloved volunteer in her church's children's nursery for many years.

Amanda Lou is survived by her children, Warren Charles Roller, Cheryl Roller (Chuck Taylor), Barbara Roller (Michael Weber), Robert Roller (Sara Fulghum) and Diane Roller (Tom Clarke); four grandchildren, Angie (Joe) Astin, Warren Scott Weber (Sydney Diulus), Alex (Jenna Odegard) Roller-Knapp and Sara E. Weber; and eight great-grandchildren.

Amanda Lou was predeceased by her husband, parents; and all of her siblings. A memorial service for Amanda Lou Roller will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, at the Wooster United Methodist Church, 243 N. Market St., Wooster, OH 44691.
