Agnes Siemens Obituary
Agnes Siemens, 85, Medaryville, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at her residence in Medaryville.
Agnes was born Feb. 4, 1931 in Winamac, to the late Daniel and Emma Shorter Winter. On Aug. 10, 1949, she married Leo J. Siemens in Logansport. Leo died March 31, 2016.
First and foremost, Agnes was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and she meant the world to them. Outside of the home, Agnes continued to support her husband by acting as his Partner-In-Service in the Medaryville Lions Club and working as a secretary at Siemens Insurance Agency. She also worked as a volunteer with the Medaryville Potato Fest. In addition, she continued to show her love to her children by assisting in 4-H projects, caring for her grandchildren before they went to school, and supporting each family member in every endeavor they pursued. To quote one of her favorite songs, she was the wind beneath her family's wings.
Survivors include sons, Gary (Beth) Siemens, Winamac, and Mike (Angie) Siemens, Towanda, Kansas; daughters Sandy (Kent) Reinhold, Francesville, and Karen (Clay) Scott, Royal Center; granddaughters, Megan (Matt) Scott, Frankfort, Hilary (Blaine) Yaggie, Delphi, Amanda Scott, Logansport, Shelby Scott, Royal Center; grandson Nicholas Siemens, Towanda, Kansas; great-grandsons, Landon Yaggie, Owen Yaggie and Cooper Scott; great-granddaughter Tessa Yaggie; sister, Sister Clarise Winter, Nazareth, Michigan; and brothers, Daniel Winter, Galveston, and Frank (Joan) Winter, Monterey.
