Adam Tyler Deitrich Obituary

Adam Tyler Deitrich, 28, of Star City, passed away at 10:37 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 22, 1989 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to David Clark Myers and Melissa Jane Deitrich. Adam graduated from Winamac High School in 2008. While he was in high school, he was active in football and golf and attended the First United Methodist Church of Winamac. He was a 10 -year 4-H member in Pulaski County and especially enjoyed helping his sister, Peyton, with her swine projects.

Adam graduated from Purdue University in 2012 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics. While at Purdue, Adam was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho, Delta Chapter. Adam was currently employed at Co-Alliance LLP in Reynolds where he was growing his passion for agricultural sales through Ag Retail. He was a member of the Star City Lions Club and Winamac Eagles Lodge #2580. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was an avid IU Basketball and Chicago Cubs fan.

Adam will always be remembered for his contagious smile, bright blue eyes, orneriness and his ability to make others laugh. He was known to be the friend who would drop everything to help someone in need. Adam will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by parents Melissa and Art Newman, Winamac; sister Brianna (Bradley Dragoon) Deitrich, New York; sister Peyton Newman, Winamac; stepbrothers Jason Newman, Culver, and Matt (Catie) Newman, Monterey; maternal grandmother Sandra (Joe) Hulsizer, Logansport; and his aunts and uncles Mike (Karen) Deitrich, Ronda Deitrich, Lisa Penny, Robert Deitrich, John (Jeanne) Newman, Herb (Janet) Newman, Barb (Warren) Penrod, Geri Newman, Mary Newman, Marilyn Newman, Karla Allen and Roanna Hepburn.

Adam is also survived by numerous cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by father David Clark Myers; maternal grandfather Ronald Deitrich; paternal step grandparents Herb and Norma Newman; and uncles Daryl Deitrich and Ed Newman.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Winamac with Pastor Dave Marty officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Winamac and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

An Eagle's Memorial Service will take place at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Logansport.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the family for a scholarship that will be established in Adam's memory.
