Walton, INElsie R. Torres, 81, of Walton, went home to be with her Lord at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born July 13, 1941, in Penuelas, Puerto Rico to Eliseo Francisco and Lydia Maria (Lucca) Morales. She married Jose A. Torres on July 16, 1960, and he preceded her in death July 5, 2020. Elsie loved the Lord and was active in her church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking her amazing Puerto Rican dishes and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. She is survived by her children, Elsie (Dennis) Baker of Walton; Shirley (Felix) Krause, Indianapolis; and Mitzie Anderson of Virginia. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Denny Baker Jr., Krystle Noland, Amanda Anderson, Erika Bohon; step grandchildren, Jeremy and Jason Krause. She also has eighteen great grandchildren and two on the way. Siblings, Eddie Morales, Levis Morales and Ginny Hill also survive her. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jose "Tasito", son-in-law, Scott Anderson and siblings, Leslie, Harris, Barnie, Nancy Elba and infant sister Nancy. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022
