Weldon Hudson, 67, Burnettsville, passed away at 6:04 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1949 in Kokomo, to the late Wilbur and Norma (Hawk) Hudson. On Aug. 19, 1972, he married the former Connie Coble at the Lockport Christian Church. She survives.
Weldon was a 1967 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He served during Vietnam and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Subaru in Lafayette.
He attended Lockport Church. He also loved to play golf and gamble at the Blue Chip Casino. Weldon enjoyed watching NASCAR racing on Sundays and "Paw Patrol" with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Chad (Carrie) Hudson, Monticello, Rachel (Andy) Creighton, Burnettsville, and Andrew (Ashley) Hudson, Monticello; siblings, Patty and Connie, Texas, Marcia (Ronnie), Burnettsville, Joyce, Monticello, Terry, Monticello, Mary, Monticello, Jane (Doug), Monticello, Jill (Wayne), Burnettsville, Cindy (Scott), Idaville, and Stanley (Robin), Monticello; and eleven grandchildren, Imrie, Payslee, Logan, Bentleigh, Mason, Kynlee, Megan, Aubrielle, Blake, Colton, and Drew.
Private family graveside services and burial, with full Military Rites, will be held on Monday in Seceder Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Eastlawn PTO to help purchase books for the school. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
