Stuart T. Ironmonger, 60, Galveston, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born Sept. 21, 1956, in Grant County, to Norman T. and Mary Alice (Stevens) Ironmonger.
Stuart was "God's Special Boy" and loved to sit outside in the sun and watch the kids play. He enjoyed strawberry milkshakes and food of all kinds.
His favorite television show was Captain Kangaroo, and he had a happy personality but could be a little ornery too.
He is survived by his brother, Steven Ironmonger, Schererville; sister, Jo Ellen Ironmonger and companion Margo, Galveston; four nieces; one nephew; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A celebration of Stuart's life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Celebrant Carla Barker will be officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
