Steven D. Hildebran, 62, Lakeland, Florida, died Monday, March 5, 2018.
Born in Logansport on June 25, 1955, he was the son of Paul and Marilyn (Nice) Hildebran and was also a graduate of Lewis Cass High School.
Hildebran loved Jesus.
While he lived in Logansport, he attended First Assembly of God, now Lifegate Church. He moved to Lakeland, Florida, 14 years ago, and he attended Free Life Chapel there.
Though he suffered from a brain tumor, cancer, a stroke, TIA and other heart issues for the last 19 months of his life, Hildebran always had a smile on his face and a kind word for others.
Because of his love for people, he left his body to science. "With you and me in mind," he said, "maybe I can help someone else."
Survivors include a son, Evan Hildebran; daughter, Ashlee Hildebran; granddaughter, Trinity Lacey; brother, Phillip D. Hildebran; cousins, Peggy (Nice) Spencer, Teresa (Nice) Franklin, Susan (Nice) Aldridge, Kathy (Nice) LePard, Karen (Ralstin) Hunt, Judy (Ralstin) Troxler and John Ralstin; and an uncle, Merle Nice.
