Sharon D. King, 69, Star City, passed away at 4:35 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport. She was born on May 6, 1947, in Rochester, to the late Robert and Olive Johnston Sparks.
She graduated from Star City High School in 1965. On Dec. 18, 1969, Sharon married Lonnie L. King in Chicago.
Sharon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Logansport, where she was active in the Relief Society and Primary. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie King, Star City; her children, Matthew (Sandra Sawistowski) King, Berlin, Germany, Danette Stark, Sandy, Utah, and Shannon King, Star City; her grandchildren, Jeffrey King and
Alexis Stark; her siblings, Karena (David) Macy, Lakeland, Florida, Samuel Sparks, Clymers, and Benita (Rod) Henry, Temple, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Curtis Sparks. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Frain Mortuary, 305 E. Main St. Winamac, IN, 46996 with services there at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will take place in Star City West Cemetery.
