Rebecca Hughey, 67, Swayzee, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, in Howard Community Health Network, Kokomo, after a long illness.
Rebecca was born May 25, 1950, in Logansport to the late Robert and Ruth Smith Beckley. On March 8, 2007, in Alton, Missouri, she was married to Don Hughey, who survives.
A 1968 graduate of Pioneer High School, Rebecca worked for E.L.S. (Environmental Lab Services) in Logansport for many years. After moving to Missouri, she worked for Country Living Real Estate. She enjoyed crocheting many blankets and afghans over the years. Rebecca spent a lot of time outdoors mushroom hunting and taking photos. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by brother Richard (Candy) Beckley of Royal Center, as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
Rebecca was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Michael Beckley.
A funeral service celebrating Rebecca's life will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, in Fisher Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Royal Center Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral chapel.
